For the love of Art

For those of you who think you recognize me,
Let me introduce you to my artistic personality,
Not of myself but of something else,
Someone else completely,
Sometimes representing a silence in the midst of screams,
Other times a Godly image I've seen in my dreams,
None of which make me who I am,
Only what I see or feel,
None of which is ever truly Real,
Except to maybe... me.
An alternate personality to express that which cannot be expressed in reality.
Some of you are far too judgmental.
Some of you are scared of what you don't understand,
Some of you are so wrapped up in your own lives that you have no idea the beauty that surrounds you.
Some of you have no idea that your not the only one.
Everyone has depth,
Only not everyone will accept it or portray it in such ways that an artist may chose.
Nobody ever became recognized because of their sanity.
Remember that.

Don't get your knickers in a knot. Nothing is solved and it just makes you walk funny. ~Kathryn Carpenter

I've been doing some looking up of the quotes tonight and found myself wanting to share them with everyone as if they too, are lovers of a good quote. With how many I've been finding, I didn't want to post them all over Facebook, which is what I would normally do, and I thought to myself, why not on my blog?

So.. Here are some worth while quotes, in my opinion. I hope you enjoy!

"Let's not forget that the little emotions are the great captains of our lives and we obey them without realizing it." ~Vincent Van Gogh, 1889

"The walls we build around us to keep sadness out also keeps out the joy." ~Jim Rohn

"Any emotion, if it is sincere, is involuntary." ~Mark Twain

"When dealing with people, remember you are not dealing with creatures of logic, but creatures of emotion." ~Dale Carnegie

"Logic: The art of thinking and reasoning in strict accordance with the limitations and incapacities of the human misunderstanding." ~Ambrose Bierce

Every tomorrow has two handles. We can take hold of it by the handle of anxiety, or by the handle of faith. ~Author Unknown

As your faith is strengthened you will find that there is no longer the need to have a sense of control, that things will flow as they will, and that you will flow with them, to your great delight and benefit. ~Emmanuel

Sometimes, as practice for trying to convince myself that God exists, I try to convince my shadow that the sun exists. ~Robert Brault

Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death. ~Author Unknown

Though the circular round-and-round of routine be the bulk of life's affairs, make an occasional jutting diversion - of fun, love, or something that will outlast you - so the shape and motion of your life shall resemble the round lifegiving sun with bright rays shining forth from all directions. ~Terri Guillemets

Now that it's all over, what did you really do yesterday that's worth mentioning? ~Coleman Cox

You can tell more about a person by what he says about others than you can by what others say about him. ~Leo Aikman

Always when judging
Who people are,
Remember to footnote
The words "So far."
~Robert Brault

Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. ~Theodore Roosevelt

I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it.... People think pleasing God is all God care about. But any fool living in the world can see it always trying to please us back. ~Alice Walker, The Color Purple, 1982

Be pleasant until ten o'clock in the morning and the rest of the day will take care of itself. ~Elbert Hubbard

Never explain. Your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe it anyway. ~Elbert Hubbard, A Thousand and One Epigrams, 1911

Always watch where you are going. Otherwise, you may step on a piece of the Forest that was left out by mistake. ~Pooh's Little Instruction Book, inspired by A.A. Milne

Don't get your knickers in a knot. Nothing is solved and it just makes you walk funny. ~Kathryn Carpenter

A time for Art

Many of you know that I'm an extremely creative person. I don't think I've ever gone a day without using art in some form. I love to paint and create, photograph, anything really. I'll be posting some photos of some of the artwork I've done on here soon. I love sharing my artwork with others.. Not for their opinion so much as just so i feel my artwork has a purpose other than self gratification, To be seen!

My polyvore link is also at the top of my blog page if you'd like to look at those as well. It's the strip of pictures right below my blog title. It's really very fun! Almost like making a collage, but the possibilities for creating a piece of art really are endless!

Until next time!

Here are some photos that i've taken that I'm pretty proud of..

1st post / 3rd blog

Well, I've started a new blog. Firstly because "The Crazy Bittles" was so neglected and old, and secondly because I wanted to start fresh. So here I am. Although I'll be writing about my family and our little life together here in Alabama, I'll also be writing of other things that strike ME as interesting and will probably ramble on about things other people probably don't care about! haha.. But that's what blogs are for, right?

Well, It's late and I'm not much for writing RIGHT NOW, so good night..
Until Next Time,
Jill
